Product Overview
Superior Graphite
Block
Yaxin Carbon's Graphite Brick (YXG-1/YXG-2) is manufactured using low-sulfur, low-ash petroleum coke and needle coke as primary raw materials, with coal tar pitch as the binder.
The production process involves kneading, forming, high-temperature roasting, high-pressure impregnation, secondary roasting, and high-temperature graphitization, followed by precision machining to achieve the final product.
Featuring excellent thermal conductivity, Yaxin Carbon's Graphite Brick is highly effective in reducing hearth bottom temperatures and slowing down hearth erosion. It is designed for use in the first layer of the blast furnace hearth bottom and the bosh zone.

High Thermal Conductivity
Exceptional thermal conductivity efficiently dissipates heat from the blast furnace hearth, protecting the shell and prolonging furnace campaign life.
Alkali & Slag Resistance
Outstanding resistance to molten iron, slag penetration, and alkali attack in the harsh chemical environment of the blast furnace hearth and belly.
High-Temperature Strength
Retains excellent compressive and flexural strength at extreme operating temperatures, withstanding the intense mechanical loads within the blast furnace.
Low Porosity & Permeability
Dense microstructure with low porosity effectively prevents molten iron and gas infiltration, reducing erosion of the hearth first-layer lining.
Thermal Shock Resistance
Superior resistance to rapid temperature fluctuations during furnace start-up, shutdown, and operational transitions, minimising cracking and spalling risk.
Large-Format Block Design
Manufactured in large block dimensions to minimise joint seams in the belly and hearth lining, reducing weak points and improving overall structural integrity.
Blast Furnace Hearth Bottom -- First Layer
Laid as the foundational first course of the hearth bottom, furnace graphite blocks provide exceptional thermal conductivity and structural integrity to withstand the extreme heat and weight of molten iron accumulation.
Hearth Bottom Heat Dissipation
The high thermal conductivity of furnace graphite blocks efficiently transfers heat away from the hearth bottom, enabling effective external cooling and protecting the furnace shell from thermal damage during prolonged campaigns.
Blast Furnace Belly & Bosh Lining
Applied as refractory lining in the belly and bosh zones where temperatures and mechanical stresses peak, furnace graphite blocks resist erosion from descending burden and ascending hot gases while maintaining dimensional stability.
Alkali & Chemical Attack Resistance
In the bosh and belly regions, furnace graphite blocks demonstrate superior resistance to alkali vapor infiltration and chemical corrosion from slag and coke ash, significantly extending furnace campaign life.
Hearth Sidewall Structural Support
Furnace graphite blocks used at the hearth sidewall interface provide robust mechanical support and a stable foundation for upper refractory courses, preventing differential settlement and maintaining furnace geometry under cyclic thermal loading.
Extended Furnace Campaign Life
By combining low porosity, high compressive strength, and excellent thermal shock resistance, furnace graphite blocks in hearth bottom and belly zones contribute to campaign durations exceeding 15 years, reducing relining frequency and overall operational costs.
